GREAT LOCATION! Only a few blocks from Union Station. We didn't even rent a car for the week we were here in 2015. We bought a weekly Metro Pass and got around via subway, light rail, and bus. The rooms were large--event the private bathrooms, and the room included a small refrigerator. For the same price in New York City, you would get a very small room at the YMCA with just enough room for a set of bunk beds and a TV but not much else--and no private bathroom. The Metro Plaza wasn't fancy, but it more than suited my needs and free continental breakfast is included. You would pay double for something like this in Manhattan!

The neighborhood wasn't bad, but I would exercise caution if walking around here later at night or be aware of your surroundings. There are homeless people around, but they are mostly harmless. I've seen better neighborhoods, but I have also seen much worst.

The location was great,it is about a five minute walk to the hotel from Union Station. We also enjoyed the Historical District around the hotel. The hotel was clean and staff were friendly. We would stay at this hotel again.

My partner and myself enjoyed our stay at the Metro Plaza Hotel very much. It is very central and is within walking distance to shops, restaurants and Union Station. The staff are very approachable and helpful. I highly recommend the hotel to anyone who wants to stay in downtown LA.

I have no complaints about the hotel but I find one problem in the breakfast room. Some guests do sit there and chat even though they have finished their breakfast and do not have considerations for other guests who could not find a place to sit. In the interests of other guests, the hotel management might want to consider putting up signs at the table to request guests to vacate their seats when they finish their breakfasts.

Close to Union Station, really convenient location if you would like to take Amtrack, Metro Red line and airport Flyaway.

Being so close to china town and also to Union Station. We enjoyed our stay, breakfast was adequate, rooms were clean, staff were helpful.

Very convenient to my business destination. Parking was located within the building and fairly priced. Remodeled bathrooms in my room was very nicely finished.

Breakfast included with the room rate, however the dining area was extremely crowded and with the extremely limited seating there was no place for me to sit to eat breakfast.

The desk clerk was very helpful in recommending a good restaurant. The hotel was across the street from my meeting location.

Old and stuffy. Slightly sour odor throughout the halls. Very much a one star hotel but safe, convenient, and clean.

Friendly and helpful front desk, nice and clean room, clean white towels and clean bath room.

Too small breakfast area, and not enough dining table and chairs.The wifi is not stable.
